Miss Supercross Casey - Anaheim 2
Casey Edmondson

WOW!! What an awesome weekend at Anaheim two. The sun was out and the eighty degree weather made a perfect day for racing. Angel stadium was packed and I could really feel the adrenaline in the fans. My first look at the track was in the morning before the riders meeting. The track looked awesome and appeared very tight and technical. There was a rythum section that was very technical and I couldn't wait to see how the riders were going to get though it. There was also a split section in the holeshot and I could tell that racing was going to be very exciting.

The pits opened and I couldn't believe the crowds. It was packed and I met so many of you great fans. I signed a ton of autographs and took alot of pictures. I had so much fun and met some amazing people. I snuck out to the track and watched some practices. {I couldn't wait to see how the competition was stacking up} The rythum section was giving alot of the riders a hard time until Stewart showed every one why he is so good. He tripled over the step on section and tripled out and amazed everyone. All the other top riders followed suit and even some of the lites riders began to do that section. {WOW!!!}

Early in the night show, I got the chance to go into the stands and give away autographed shirts and Official Monster Energy Merchandise. The smiles on the kids faces made my day. I took a poll while talking to the fans and James Stewart was the suspected winner.

The lites racing was nothing but AWESOME. The split hole shot section had some crashes but everyone appeared okay. Once again, Lawrence had some bad luck and had to go to the LCQ for the second week in a row. He did win the LCQ and make it to the main. The Main event was so exciting with Morales and Dungey battling for the win. Dungey pulled it off and showed everyone why he is our points leader.

During the intermission, I met Tito Ortiz in the stands. I'm a HUGE UFC fan and for me it was very exciting. The supercross main event started and poor Chad Reed went down near the split holeshot section. That track was very difficult to pass due to the tight turns and I could not believe what I was seeing. I was thinking that there was no way he could ever come back and Reed amazed me and I think everyone in the stadium. Reed passed everyone including Grant, Villapoto and Windam, and he was very close to Stewart as they flew over the finish line jump. I couldn't believe how Reed took second place. The crowd was going nuts and I could feel the excitement. It was AMAZING just to be a part of it. It was also exciting to see that Windam got the holeshot and led the race for the first ten laps.

One more bit of information that I found out ( for all you wondering) Chad Reed's earings, are real, and he rides with them in! I couldn't believe it. ( haha ) See you guys for the East Coast Texas style :)
