I have been riding since I was a lil’ tyke at 6 years old, riding my Big Wheel 80 around the desert dry lake for hours and hours at a time! We have video footage of me as a kid getting all geared up and riding off, and once I returned I would change right back into my pink sundress and big pink hair bow! I am definitely, the girly, girl at heart, but with the determination of a total tomboy.
My favorite memories were camping with my family at the desert with all our friends and having the crazy campfires. Throughout my childhood, I never lost the love for riding my dirt bike and shortly after started riding the “family bike” which was a KDX 200.
I must say it was QUITE the bike, for a young girl my size at still such a young age. My next bike was a KX125, which I somehow thought I would NEVER sell, because I believed it was my “pride and joy”. I believe there is always the one bike that gives you the “root” for the true passion of riding, and that green beauty was the hit! Shoot, I even choked up when I finally sold it. But I was definitely in need of a bit more power and bought a YZ250, which I am currently still riding, and now not sure if I can let this baby go either J
My racing mostly began on the KX125 in the AMA District 37 Desert Racing Series while my family and I were involved in a club named RUTS, and later became members of Huntington Beach Motorcycle Club. I raced that green machine up from novice to Amateur class in no time at all, and continued racing the YZ250 after that for Desert, Grand Prix’ and tons of play riding Motocross at tracks Elsinore, Racetown 395, Starwest, and Competitive Edge. My favorite place of all to ride is good ole Ocotillo Wells! It’s Disneyland for dirt bikes!! I also raced my lil KLX110 for awhile at Starwest Wednesday nights, until the bike was stolen out of my garage and never to be seen again.
A little bit more history of me is that I also used to cruise around town on my 2004 Yamaha V-star street bike. It was a fun little cruiser bike until my mom convinced me to sell it due to the fact that she was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with me lugging that beast around and she felt that no one sees street bikes while driving. But the experience and the “freedom” feeling on the road was great while it lasted. (I will be making another purchase for an R1…shhhhh).
My interests also lie in many other areas of extreme sports such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, and skydiving. Pretty much anything that can give me an adrenaline rush, and reminds me that everyday should be spent enjoying the life and capabilities that I have been blessed with.
Another passion of mine is music. I have been singing since I was a young girl and even was the lead singer of a variety of bands from the style of punk to metal, and even started doing some R & B. I have had appearances also in a variety of music videos as a dancer.
I love my family to pieces and can not go a day without thanking God for them. My family is very involved in the desert racing community with a business fabulously named “Lipert Racing” and a new racing club that my parents branched off and created named Racers MC. My dad still currently races the Expert class and I must say, can give some of those young bucks a run for their money! Ok, so I am his biggest fan and he is my hero J
Why do you want to become Miss Supercross?
I would like to represent and promote the sport of Supercross. To be an inspiration and role model to younger girls, showing them that you can have a strong passion for extreme sports, while also remaining a “girly girl” at heart. I would also like the opportunity to be involved in any part of the Supercross/Motocross Industry, as I have already had some of the best experiences imaginable. This sport has huge piece of my heart and I love the adrenaline of it all. To be able to share the same passion as all the fans and riders have for this sport.
Any past MX/SX Involvement?
I have worked for Supercross as a Progressive girl, working the podium for Anaheim last year and Vegas SX for Umbrella Girls USA . I have also been going to races since I was a little tyke with my family and remember cheering for Jeff Ward and Doug Henry while they tore up the track, and now get even just as excited to watch them tear up Supermoto! I also have worked the Nationals at Glen Helen.
What else do you do? What other types of things are you interested in?
In between, I like any adrenaline rush that I can obtain from pretty much any extreme sport i.e.; snowboard, skydiving, wakeboarding, and of course my therapeutic excursions on my YZ250. I also participate in charities such as The Road 2 Recovery Foundation which is dedicated to helping AMA licensed motocross members with financial assistance if they sustain career-ending injuries as well as providing motivational, emotional, and spiritual support to these individuals and their families. And will also be running in the the "Leukemia & Lymphona Society" marathon for 2007
Favorite Rider: Jeremy Mcgrath
Favorite SX city: ANAHEIM !! WOO WOO! :)
