2006 Dowd entered the AMA Motocross Championship races at New Berlin, N.Y. and
Southwick, Mass… He earned his best result, a sixth-place overall finish, at his home
track of Southwick… Won the AMA Las Vegas Endurocross… Raced aboard a Suzuki.
2005 Dowd raced the AMA 250cc Motocross Championship, earning a podium finish at
Southwick, Mass and nine additional top-10 overall finishes... Raced with Moose Suzuki team.
2004 Dowd raced a limited AMA 250cc Motocross Championship season, best result
eighth-place overall at Mt. Morris, Pa.... Raced aboard a Suzuki.
2003 Dowd contested the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship and earned a second-
place overall finish at Southwick, Mass... Raced with Cernics KTM team.
2002 Dowd contested the 125cc AMA East Region Supercross series, his best result a fifthplace
at Indianapolis... He raced the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship, best finish
was fifth-place overall at Binghamton, N.Y.... Raced with KTM/Cernics.com team.
2001 Dowd climbed the podium at the Southwick, Mass., round of the AMA 250cc
motocross series with a second-place overall finish... He took three
additional top-five overall finishes in the series... Raced with Kaplan Computer KTM team.
2000 Veteran racer Dowd returned to the AMA EA Sports 250cc Supercross top-ten list,
taking his best series finish of fifth-place at the San Diego, Calif., round... He took the overall
third-place finish (and moto two race victory) racing in the rain at the Mt. Morris, Pa., round
of the AMA Chevy Trucks 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship... Raced with Team Chevy Trucks Kawasaki.
1999 Dowd took Supercross podium finishes at Seattle and Atlanta, and had two additional
series top-five results. He went on to take another overall podium finish in the 250cc National
Motocross race at his home track in Southwick, Mass. Raced with factory Yamaha team.
1998 Dowd applied his 11 years of pro experience to another excellent season... He won
the AMA 125 West Supercross title... He raced eight rounds of the 250cc Supercross season,
winning the Charlotte, N.C., round and taking an additional five top-10 finishes. Dowd
kept Ricky Carmichael on his toes in the chase for the 125cc Mazda Truck Motocross
Nationals championship... He led the series in mid-season and finished as the runner-up for
the title, the result of overall wins at Binghamton, N.Y., and Southwick, Mass., and eight
additional overall podium finishes... Rode for the factory Yamaha team.
1997 Won the Indianapolis and Daytona, Fla., rounds of the 125cc East Region Supercross
series. Had top-10 finishes at three 250cc Supercross rounds... Had three 250cc National
Motocross overall wins and three podium finishes... Never finished outside the top-10 in
