2007 Fan favorite and multi-time AMA Motocross Champ Doug Henry sustained serious
injuries in a pre-season Supermoto race… Named AMA Sportsman of the Year for his
continuing work as an ambassador for the sport.
2006 Henry entered the AMA Motocross Championship race at Southwick, Mass.,
earning a 17th-place overall finish…
Also raced in the AMA Supermoto Championship, earning five wins and finishing
second in championship points… Raced aboard a Yamaha.2005 Henry entered the AMA 250cc Motocross Championship race at Southwick, Mass.,

Championship race at his home track in Southwick, Mass., earning a 14th-place overall finish.
2002 Henry returned to race in the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship event at his
home track in Southwick, Mass., earning seventh-place overall.
2001 Semi-retired former champ Henry raced at his home track of Southwick, Mass, taking
eighth-place overall in the AMA 250cc race there.
2000 Henry came out of retirement to race at the Binghamton, N.Y. round of the AMA Chevy
Trucks 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship.
1999 Henry announced his official retirement after racing a limited 1999 season during his
"Farewell Tour" with the factory Yamaha team. He took 10th-place at the Supercross season
finale at Las Vegas, and won the Troy, Ohio round of the AMA 250cc National Motocross
Series.
1998 Henry took the podium four times over the course of the 250cc Supercross season
and had four additional top-five finishes over the course of the season. He captured his first
250cc Mazda Truck Motocross Nationals title with five overall wins and an additional four
podium finishes...Henry never finished outside the motocross overall top-five... first rider to
win an AMA National Motocross title aboard a four stroke -- the Yamaha YZF400... rode for
Team Yamaha.
1997 Won the 250cc Supercross rounds at Los Angeles, Seattle and Las Vegas... Achieved
highest personal ranking to date in Supercross. Finished in the top-10 at four 250cc National
Motocross races. Rode for Team Yamaha.
1996 Returned to racing after his 1995 Budds Creek, Md. crash with a fused spine...Top
Supercross result was fifth at Charlotte... Earned four top-five finishes in 250cc
Motocross...Top 250cc Motocross result was third at Southwick, Mass... Rode for Team
Yamaha.
1995 Won his first AMA 250cc Motocross (Mt. Morris, Pa.) and AMA Supercross (Irving,
Texas) Nationals... 1995 Motocross season came to an end after a horrific crash at Budds
Creek, MD., in which Henry broke his back, the television footage made Henry's crash one
of the most famous in Motocross history...
1994 Won his second AMA 125cc Motocross National title... Took three AMA 125cc
Motocross victories (Mt. Morris, PA, Southwick, MA., and Binghamton, NY).
1993 Won three AMA 125cc National Motocross events (Southwick, MA, San Bernardino,
CA and Binghamton, NY) en route to winning his first AMA 125cc Motocross
Championship... Won the AMA 125cc East Region Supercross Championship.
1992 Ranked third in the AMA East Region 125cc Supercross series.
1991 Won his first AMA National Motocross race at Sacramento, California in the 125cc
class.
