Career Profile: Kevin has been racing for 15 years with the support of his family and grandfather's motorcycle shop, Bobby J's Yamaha. Kevin raced all of the big amateur national events before turning pro in 2001. He won championships at some events, including the NMA Grand Nationals at Ponca City. In 2001 Kevin entered most of the west coast supercrosses, and a few outdoor nationals. In 2002 he entered all of the 125 west coast supercrosses and most of the 125 outdoor nationals, with a career best finish at Anaheim 2 with a 4th overall. In 2003 Kevin started the super cross series on a rampage. He placed 10th at Anaheim 1, then 5th at Phoenix. At Anaheim 2 he put in the second fastest lap time of practice. Unfortunately, due to a mechanical error he went down in the next practice and broke his collarbone. He came back late in the season and injured his knee, but continued on, placing 8th in Salt Lake. He raced the first five Nationals and earned enough points for a national number. He did all of this with a torn ACL and a torn MCL, in his right knee. Kevin had surgery at the beginning of July to repair his knee and get ready for the 2004 supercross series. He is really focusing all of his effort to get ready for the 2004 125 east series.
