2003 Pastrana raced a limited AMA 250cc Supercross season, his best result a 12th-place
at Phoenix... He entered the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship season-opener at
San Bernardino, Calif., a leg injury incurred there sidelined him for the rest of the season...
Raced with Team SoBe Suzuki.
2002 Pastrana earned three podium finishes in the AMA 250cc Supercross series before
being sidelined by surgery for a chronic sinus condition... He entered the first two events of
the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship, but was sidelined again with wrist injuries...
Won the Gravity Games Gold Medal in freestyle competition... Raced with Team SoBe
Suzuki.
2001 Pastrana won the AMA Eastern Region Supercross title with five wins and one additional
podium finish in the seven race series... He took AMA 125cc motocross overall wins
at Mt. Morris, Pa., and Southwick, Mass., and had three additional overall podium finishes in
the series... Raced with Suzuki factory team.
2000 In his first pro season, Pastrana was in contention for the AMA 125cc Eastern Region
Supercross championship. He took wins at Daytona Beach, Fla. and St. Louis, and had
three additional podium finishes... Pastrana won the AMA Chevy Trucks 125cc U.S.
Motocross Championship with five overall wins and three additional podium finishes... Won
the AMA Pro Racing MX/SX Rookie of the Year Award... Member of Team Chevy Trucks
USA, which returned the FIM Motocross des Nations trophy to the US after a three-year
absence... Raced with the factory Suzuki team... Took the gold medal in the X-Games
freestyle motocross competition.
1999 An amateur motocross racer who won the AMA National Amateur Championship 125cc and 250cc A classes. Pastrana drew national headlines when he jumped his bike into San Francisco Bay during an X-Games freestyle motocross contest. Also raced at the U.S. Open of Supercross in Las Vegas. Was presented the AMA Horizon Award. Riding for Suzuki in 2000.
